We are seeking world-class Solution Engineer to come join our team, to help support our fraud identity solutions. This role bridges technical presales, customer onboarding, and backend data research — making it ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation who enjoys engaging with clients and solving real-world problems, rather than spending the majority of their time writing code.

You will become a deep product expert on Intellicheck’s Identity Verification Solution, serving as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle and beyond. In addition to presales activities, you will conduct backend data research and investigation on specific customer accounts, supporting account health, escalations, and onboarding success. Clear communication, intellectual curiosity, and a customer-first mindset are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Solution Engineer duties include, but are not limited to:

Presales & Solution Engineering

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Intellicheck’s Identity Verification Solution and its delivery methods, staying current with industry trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Engage with prospective clients to assess their technical requirements, business challenges, and integration needs.
  • Create and deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and proposals that clearly articulate the value of Intellicheck’s offerings.
  • Collaborate with customers to design and execute Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate the effectiveness of proposed solutions.
  • Partner with the sales team to respond to RFPs and RFIs, contributing technical depth and accuracy to submissions.
  • Present the product roadmap to sales teams and customers, translating technical capabilities into business value.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support, addressing customer inquiries around product functionality, compatibility, and integration.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation including proposals, case studies, and technical specifications in cooperation with marketing.
  • Stay informed about competitors’ offerings and market trends to effectively position Intellicheck’s products.

Data Research & Backend Support

  • Conduct backend data research and investigation on specific customer accounts using Elastic search queries, SQL, and internal tooling to diagnose issues, validate transaction data, and surface actionable insights.
  • Partner with Customer Success and Support teams to investigate customer-reported anomalies, reconcile data discrepancies, and provide clear, data-backed findings.
  • Analyze customer usage patterns, ID verification event logs, and API transaction histories to proactively identify at-risk accounts or signs of performance degradation.
  • Support customer onboarding by validating integration correctness, reviewing API payload structures, and confirming data pipeline accuracy.
  • Respond to escalated technical inquiries requiring deep-dive database or backend investigation, documenting findings and recommended resolutions.
  • Build and maintain internal data research scripts, dashboards, and reporting tools that enable non-technical stakeholders to self-serve common customer data inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to surface recurring customer data patterns that inform product improvements or bug fixes.
  • Produce clear, concise summaries of research findings tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Help define and maintain data quality standards and alert thresholds that support proactive customer success.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) is often preferred. 
  • Proven experience in a technical role, such as software engineering, system administration, or technical support. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-friendly language. 
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Customer-Facing & Communication Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to investigate backend systems and translate findings into clear, actionable summaries for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing teams (Customer Success, Support, Sales) with data research, root cause analysis, or technical escalations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document findings, write run books, and deliver confident technical presentations.
  • Proven ability to craft and deliver compelling technical demos and proposals to prospective clients.
  • A customer-first mindset with the ability to balance technical rigor with the responsiveness and urgency required in customer-facing roles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and comfort working in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Responds to customer inquiries promptly and proactively communicates updates on timelines and deliverables, ensuring customers always have a clear understanding of next steps and expected outcomes.

Effectively manages a high-volume workload by prioritizing competing requests, balancing urgency with impact, and maintaining consistent follow-through so no customer need goes unaddressed.
