We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer and Content Manager to join Intellicheck on a contract basis. This role is responsible for documentation across our product suite, developer resources, and customer-facing knowledge base. As our Technical Writer and Content Manager, you will create and maintain product documentation, technical blog posts, and white papers, and own our ReadMe developer portal and Zendesk knowledge base. You will work closely with product, engineering, customer support, and customer success stakeholders to ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing for SaaS or software companies and be comfortable working with multiple documentation tools and content types. Clear communication skills are essential. This position is fully remote and open only to candidates based in the United States.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to gather accurate technical details ahead of releases.
- Write and maintain product documentation for Intellicheck's Identity Verification Service
- Own the ReadMe developer documentation portal, including API reference content, integration guides, and version-to-version updates.
- Design and maintain an Intellicheck Knowledge Base and Content Architecture
- Write and maintain knowledge base articles and product release notes
- Occasionally, write technical blog posts and white papers that translate identity verification, biometrics, and compliance topics for technical and business audiences.
- Work with customer success to identify documentation gaps based on support tickets.
- Maintain a consistent voice, terminology, and structure across all documentation.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of professional technical writing experience, ideally at a B2B SaaS or Software company.
- A portfolio demonstrating both developer-facing content (API documentation, integration guides) and end-user-facing content (help articles, best practice guides).
- Hands-on experience with APIs, JSON, and RESTful concepts.
- Experience with Zendesk or a comparable knowledge base tool
- Experience with ReadMe.io, or a comparable developer documentation tool such as Swagger/OpenAPI or Stoplight,is a plus. An ideal candidate will bring experience managing and automating ReadMe.io or similar tool review/approval workflows.
- Background in identity verification, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, or another compliance-adjacent industry is a plus, but not necessary.
- Strong plain-language writing skills andthe ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Must be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously and to work independently as a remote contractor.
